Commissioned Service Providers Insights

Consultation has concluded

Survey Opens: 9:00 AM Monday 30 November 2020

Survey Closes: 5:00 PM Tuesday 15 December 2020

WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) published the Commissioning for Better Health Framework in April 2019. Over the past 18 months the organisation has worked to mature its commissioning practice and respond to the needs and concerns of stakeholders raised through the consultation that informed the Framework.

The Framework outlined actions across several core themes:

  • Communication and Engagement
  • Commissioning
  • WA Primary Health Alliance's values

As part of WAPHA's Strategic Plan there is commitment in the first year to development and implementation of a performance management and continuous improvement framework that will objectively support our engagement with all service providers. As part of this change, we will also be improving our engagement with service providers as a key component of contract management – in this way we will seek to reduce the resource burden for providers and ensure that these important interactions are with the accountable person at the organisational level.

We are inviting the Chief Executive Officers (or equivalent) of our commissioned service providers to share your insight on what is working well and where there are opportunities for improvement and as such we would appreciate one submission per organisation, even where there are multiple contracts in place.

Your anonymous responses will be presented to the WA Primary Health Alliance Board and be used by our commissioning teams to inform the operational planning and priorities that are being progressed in support of our new strategic plan.
