Purpose

The Goldfields Consumer Engagement page is designed to support and reinforce the community engagement activities currently being undertaken in this region, including the Northern Goldfields Interagency meeting and the Youth Forum meetings.

Through these meetings participating organisations are committed to facilitating joint initiatives that help strengthen the community and improve the coordination of services in the region. It is recognised that Community, Local, State and Non-Government organisations input into discussion topics and initiatives is essential for strengthening the community and improving service coordination.

Objective

    NO MATTER IF YOU ARE NEW TO ADHD OR HAVE BEEN MANAGING IT FOR SOME YEARS, THIS PROGRAM WILL HELP YOU REKINDLE YOUR PASSION FOR PARENTING AND WILL INCLUDE:

    • Up to date information on ADHD and how ADHD impacts on your child’s ability to carry out daily tasks and why it can be challenging.

    • What is the most effective parenting today?

    • Parenting strategies and tools which are known to work with ADHD.

    • Managing defiant behaviours and setting boundaries.

    • Understanding how your emotions impact how you parent.

    • Methods to manage your emotions and the benefits to looking after yourself.

    When: 26th and 27th May 9.30am -12.30pm

    Cost: FREE, this is a 2-session face to face workshop that will conclude with a zoom follow-up

    The seven Phases to Integrating Loss and Grief

    The workshops are sponsored by BHP and there is no charge to attend.
