An invitation to medical, nursing and allied health professionals
Rural Health West convened a workshop last year in the Goldfields to develop strategies to address workforce shortages in Kalgoorlie- Boulder and surrounding communities. As a result, the Goldfields Regional Health Professionals Network (GOHPN) was established. The role and the implementation of the GOHPN have been funded by contributions from participating agencies to formalise the collaboration between Rural Health West, WA Primary Health Alliance, The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia, WA General Practice Education and Training, WA Country Health Service, 360 Health + Community and the Goldfields-Esperance GP Network to address the issues currently facing the Goldfields.
The Goldfields Health Professionals Network will provide local health, nursing and medical practitioners with a central hub to access education events and resources, local news and an opportunity to network with other health professionals in the Goldfields. Come and learn more about this new initiative at the official launch on 31 July 2019, WMC Conference Centre, 44 MacDonald Street Kalgoorlie. Refer to attached invitation.
