Y Connect - A Three Year Action Plan
WAPHA are pleased to announce the launch of Y Connect - a three year action plan for communities to work together to increase young people's access to mental health supports in the Midwest.
In late 2017, WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) Midwest undertook consultation with local stakeholders around the procurement needs for a new youth severe mental health service. A number of issues were identified during this consultation and it was apparent that the region and its young people would benefit from the development of a high level strategy document to aid and support actions for improvement through an integrated service response for youth mental health in the region.
The plans actions are focused on four main districts: Geraldton, Gascoyne, Murchison and the Midlands. To support the development of localised actions and decision making, the plan intends to form a coordination group in each of these districts.
