WAPHA gets Rainbow Tick of approval

WA Primary Health Alliance has officially been approved for Rainbow Tick accreditation.
We are proud of this achievement as it represents the value we place on supporting, respecting and celebrating the individual differences of our staff and the broader WA community.
Our accreditation journey commenced in 2018, where we began working towards meeting six national standards of LGBTI inclusive practices.
These include:
- Organisational capability
- Workforce development
- Consumer participation
- A welcoming and accessible organisation
- Disclosure and documentation, and
- Culturally safe and acceptable services

WA Primary Health Alliance has been named as the primary care partner in Cancer Council WA’s 13 Cancers LiveLighter public awareness campaign.

4 months agoThis week is the launch of the first all-inclusive community choir in Mirrabooka. The With One Voice Mirrabooka (WOVM) is more than just singing with your local community choir:
- It’s an opportunity to create real connections between the diverse people in the community.
- It’s about building bridges between those who are experiencing disadvantage and those who are more fortunate.
- It’s about creating opportunities for people of diverse backgrounds and situations to learn from one another and help each other.

Stan & Jean Perron Child Advocacy Centre Opens in Midland
4 months agoA new facility housing services for children and young people affected by the trauma of abuse, is now open in Midland.
The Stan & Jean Perron Child Advocacy Centre, the second of its kind in Australia, is located in the historic railway workshops precinct which is transforming into a medical, health and wellbeing hub. Parkerville Children and Youth Care, WA Police, Department of Child Protection, Ngala, Raphael Services and Yokai will colocate to provide an integrated system for those in need.
The 200 seat Basil Hanna Auditorium will be available for organisations to hire.
